Kebab Turkey with Tomato Souce and Yoghurt

Good morning .... on a sunny day let us cook food that comes from the middle east that Turkish Kebab. Food this one is already very known almost all over the world, because it is quite simple food in a way to make but tastes so delicious.

This time we will make Turkish kebab with meat and sauce of yogurt plus that will increase our appetite.

The following materials Turkish Kebab with tomato sauce and yogurt
  • 2 pitta bread
  • 750g minced beef or lamb
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 50g flat-leaf parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp sumac plus additional pinch
  • 500g full-fat natural yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons butter or extra virgin olive oil
  • 2-3 tablespoons pine nuts

Ingredients for tomato sauce:

  1. 1 small onion, chopped
  2. Olive oil 2 tbsp extra virgin
  3. 2 cloves garlic, minced
  4. 1 chili, seeded and chopped

How to make it not so difficult that is peeled and chopped tomatoes, then provide 1-2 tsp sugar to make tomato sauce. First fry the onions in oil until soft. Add the garlic and chili pepper, and stir for a few minutes. Add the tomatoes, season with salt, pepper and sugar, and cook over medium heat for 10 minutes until they soften.

After that we made out of pitta bread, bread until crisp, then broke up into small pieces with your hands. Then the next step make kofte kebab. Mince season with salt and pepper, and use your hands to work into a soft dough. Add the onion and parsley and worked into the meat. Shape into a sausage, about 2cm thick and 7cm long. Arrange on a greased sheet of foil on a baking sheet and cook for about 8 minutes under a pre-heated grill, turning once, until well browned but still pink and moist on the inside. Or if you prefer you can grill on the barbecue.

Toasted pitta pieces spread over the bottom of a serving dish and sprinkle on a dash of sumac. Pour the hot tomato sauce over and top with a layer of yoghurt beaten with a fork.

Heat the butter or oil with pine nuts and stir in a teaspoon of sumac. When butter or oil sizzles, sprinkle the whole yoghurt, arrange the meat on top and serve immediately.
